Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe (born in America) is an American country and pop singer. In 2007, she released two singles, as well as an album titled Satisfied. She then formed a Pistol Annies group with Angaleena Lambert, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena. Later, they released their second album titled Like a Rose. She was five years serving as deputy city manager in Iowa City. Her current responsibilities as the Assistant Village Manager are to oversee the operation of the Community Development and Building Department managing grants, as well as completing specific tasks. Ashley is responsible for supporting the village's day-to-day services as well as working with local elected officials. Her previous roles included municipal planning government communications budgeting personnel management and collective bargaining, with a focus on climate change initiatives. Because of her involvement with national organizations and work in communities that have populations of varying sizes, Ashley has gained insight on the many complexities and differences with the way public institutions work. Ashley's teaching focuses on the latest strategies for the management of public affairs and leaders, from the perspective of an experienced practitioner. Alongside providing the context for present and future practitioners Ashley focuses on the necessity of adjusting today's ethical and strategically-based decision making for addressing challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
